Charles & Keith store opening in Pavilion KL

Went to the Charles & Keith store opening launch in Pavilion KL on 25 July, Friday. Had some wine and nice finger food while mingling with people from media and invited guests. Besides, DJ Blink was spinning for the event.

Remarked as one of the most marketable ladies fashion footwear and handbags retailer, Charles & Keith develops and produces a distinctive line of trendy designs dedicated to the young and trendy female.

The price range is very affordable. Compare to Vincci and nose, I would prefer Charles & Keith. The products are sophisticated, contemporary, and trendy. Plus there are so many designs for you to choose. I love the shoes, bags and sunglasses. spotted a few items for my style! Lucky women have extra choice to shop now. go go go!

Stand up Comedy by NYC Comedians

Went to the comedy lounge featuring 2 comedians-Jesse Joyce and Keith Alberstadt from NYC at Bar Savahn Too, Mont Kiara on 8 July.

These 2 guys are hilarious. Started off by Keith and followed by Jesse and ended up by Douglas Lim. Keith joked about himself having a bald head and being a single guy, Malaysian ringgit, how hard asian man to get a white gal in United States (due to asian man has smaller penis*fr. his statement no offence), about China, about 'bu yao' (means don't want), about places and people from his experience.

Jesse Joyce's jokes are quite amusing with a lot of expression and joked about himself look like a drug addict. A runaway hit stand up comedian on the club stages of New York and has been making a name for himself in cities and countries as one of the hottest young comics working today. He has been seen as the host of AMC's Date Night, as well as appearing on Entertainment Tonight, and Lifetime. For the better part of 2003, he was brought on as the head writer for a fledgling comedy cable network called Jokevision by the producers of The Food Network. He wrote, sold and shot a pilot for Jokevision entitled Stop me if You've Heard This which you will probably never see until an E! True Hollywood Story comes out about his sordid past. In 2001 he received 2 American Advertising Awards (ADDYs) for his writing. Jesse has entertained audiences all over the U.S., Canada, Ireland and Switzerland where he has appointed himself The Father of Swiss Comedy, as he's the only comedian hes ever heard of performing in Switzerland.


Proudly our local comedian, Douglas Lim remixed a song of our fuel price hikes and it was very entertaining. We felt for the lyrics so right. *applause given*

The crowd of the night turned up quite well. Heard all the tickets sold out. Except for the bottle we had on the table, I think Wern Shern and his friend whack all as we all left.

The New Iconic Lot 10

Once upon a time, we used to call our friend and said hey, let's go to Lot 10 for shopping! We used to feel that's the most happening place to hang out. However now we would say hey,meet at One U! hey go to Pavilion! hey see you in the Gardens/mid valley! More and more grand shopping centre opened and extended their wing named it "new wing" became our word of mouth when meeting up with somebody. New one came, old ones sooner be forgotten. Human seek for excitement and something fresh. Among shopping centres are at a stake in competitive business nevertheless consumers would enjoy more choices of place to go. Malaysian especially in KL,shopping is one of the necessary leisure activity!

Refreshing the facts, Lot 10 is the first upmarket shopping centre in KL that was build in the late 1980s when Malaysian economy was started to boom then. Hence, not suprising that its interior is lavishly styled. It was renovated and upgraded in the 1990s to be on par with other newer upmarket shopping centres in KL. And now on 27 June 2008, Lot 10 undergo a re-branding and re-positioning exercise that is set to infuse the shopping centre to be an icon of urban lifestyle, shopping and entertainment by YTL Corporation with a significant exterior and interior enhancements of the façade.

One of the enhancements is a Double Volume Frontage which ensures a wider and eye-catching windows displays for leading fashion and lifestyle brands. Another is the exciting Roof Top hangout offering a kaleidoscopic view of the city for happening parties featuring concept restaurants and trendy bars, designer clubs and a spanking new California Fitness gym. The transformation of the design and architecture of the roof top acknowledged by the world famous architect, Yuhkichi Kawai of Super Potatoes in Japan. Foreseeing another place for young and hip crowd.

Other attraction to check out is Jackie Chan's Cafe, the second outlet in Lot 10. (Starhill Gallery is the first). Be thrilled to discover new brands added to the existing list of stores and the largest Machine store in KL, Apple Premium Lifestyle Store across 2 stories.

The launch party at the roof top was awesome and fun! Entertained by Fashion Shows (KooKai, Guess, Kwan, Zang Toi), DJ Spin (DJ Ali B & DJ Chinois), free flow of booze and tidbits and the crowd was hyped up by models, celebrities, and party people. I was enjoying myself with familiar faces, friends and ex-colleagues. Happily, took quite some photos at the event.

NewMan 5th Anniversary party in the groove!

NewMan's 5th Anniversary party was successfully celebrated and honored at Bar Savahn Too, Mont Kiara that was filled to the gills with the hottest, prettiest, nicest and most well put together people in the city!

The crowd turned out for the party was overwhelming! Whole bar was packed with charming hunks, businessmen, hot babes, glitterati, socialite, partygoers, readers, supporters, celebrities, sponsors, clients and all who attended to make the event as much fun as promised. Thanks to infinite free flow of Guinness Draught and Martell supply which made the party a real blast and heat! Good to see people tipsy, laughing and having a good time. Life is too short to be unhappy! Never forget to have fun while you can and be serious while you need.

Also thanks to all sponsors who filled up our goodie bags and tempted to offer desirable goods to make the event extra tempting. The event started around 7ish where our senior writer Wern Shern and invited pretty guest Daniella be our MC for the night event. Our handsome Vice President Deric gave his opening speech to welcome guests. Followed by introducing the apperances of Malaysian Dream Girls voted from the first Malaysia's online reality tv contest. www.malaysiadreamgirl.tv seriously nothing to shout about these girls.... gracefully speaking, there are more room to improve and one's beauty and charisma is more of one's self-confidence and grow from within. I'll leave it at that.

The event rundown were delighted by rounds of lucky draw, sexy and sophisticated fashion show, metro sexual Mayhem contestants to do wrestling on stage, six Singapore Cover girls catwalk 2 rounds of sexy lingerie and fashion show, Underwear showered by celebrities: Alan Yun, Kenny Sia, Will Quah and the sponsor. We wouldn't forget these entertaining moment.

After all, it's a great party to commemorate! And the tremendous effort done by NewMan's team~! Bravo~!

Hennessy Artistry Presents a Clubbing Experience to Remember Featuring

Hennessy V.S.O.P combining three musical sensations brought together to create an electrifying night at Aloha Club, Kuala Lumpur last night. Started from 10pm till late, the event covered with an outstanding line-up of foot stomping beats by Thailand’s top hip-hop group, Bangkok Invaders, Malaysian’s very own flavourful rap artist, Point Blanc and a visual playground concocted by VJ Callen, the night was set to reap musical treats for everyone – mixed with the sweet taste of Hennessy V.S.O.P City Cocktails: Shanghai, and Miami, Hennessy Artistry brings to life the concept of the ‘Global Art of Mixing’.

At the entrance welcomed celebrities and guests to take photo by the photographers which might turn out in the magazine if being picked. Besides, a glittering DJ mixing booth was set up for anyone who is interested in trying out their mixing skills, where a professional DJ will guide punters to spinning their very own dance tracks.

The crowd started coming about 11pm. The event combined live acts from the east and west created an artistic and distinct form of experiencing music. I could see some people in the VIP area indulged in the music and dancing delightedly. Probably hit by having endless Hennessy cocktails supply.

Funny incident occurred to me on the night that there was this middle age man came to chat with me and introduced himself as Malaysia version Superman....and telling me that he sells drugs and I can get any kind of drugs from him (he is so lame in making up stories)*sweat* what a silly man at his age speaking so tactlessly! Luckily Deric just reached the place came and tapped me so I could turned away. *sweat*

MTV Asia Awards 2008 celebrating in Genting, Malaysia for the first time

MTV Asia Awards 2008 is bringing pleasure to Malaysian music scene! For the very first time, the Awards show that celebrates and pays tribute to regional and international music talent will be held at the Arena of Stars in Genting, Malaysia on 2 August 2008. Jared Leto of 30 seconds to Mars will host the significant event. The MTV Asia Awards 2008 will be broadcasted to over 291 million homes across the region, and promoted on MTV Asia's website. Portions of the programming will be carried on MTV channels worldwide, reaching more than a billion viewers across 162 countries.

Bvlgari Opening @ Pavillion KL

Went to Bvlgari launch yesterday, was invited as media by my cousin who recently joined the company. The event served drink-all-you-can sparkling champagne and some fine mousse dessert. The opening was performed by soloist, followed by 6 models posing and showcasing luxurious jewelry worn on them. The jewelry worn by the model costs more than 100k each. Not that I can afford ;( I am not your target audience YET,sorry. It happened that there was this middle age woman approached one of the models and asked if she can show to her husband. As requested, the model posed and showed in front of the woman’s husband. And the conversation started.


“Cantik kan, bang?” (nice or not, hubby?) the woman said to her husband who is busy with his blackberry.
“Cantik…, berapa harga nya?” (nice, how much is it?) the model told the price to the guy 1xxK(hundred xx thousand).
“you suka ambil sajalah” (just take it if you like lah), the guy said to his wife.


……….. speechless………..

Such a well-off man. I’m sure they're in the Bvlgari's VIP customer list. What a lucky wife! When will be my turn? aha aha...

Missy Elliott performed Live in Genting

It was an awesome weekend. First of all, I was handed by my colleague for the VIP ticket for Xlive Music Festival held in Genting with free flow of Chivas plus accommodation provided. Sounds good yea ;) For people who don't know what XLive is, XLive Festival is the first outdoor music festival to be held in Genting since 2005 and will also be the first time that a music festival is being held at the Genting Outdoor Theme Park. The festival will be divided into 3 arenas namely the XLIVE MAIN STAGE, XL-TRONIC & XLR8.

Each arena will feature a multitude of quality international, regional and local acts which includes Missy Elliot, DJ Yoji, Dan The Automator, Filo & Peri, Marcus Schossow, Stylustiks, and Goodnight Electric and more.

Missy Elliott's performance was awesome! All of us were jumping up and down and screaming all the way~! coolio~

Fiat Flies on London Eye

Publicity stunts don't come on much of a larger scale than this! To celebrate the launch of the new Fiat 500 in London, one of the vehicles was placed into a pod on the London Eye in January 2008.

The launch of this 'time capsule' was at 8pm, as one would expect for such an event, was a star-studded affair and included a light show that lit up the river Thames, and performances by Mika and The Feeling.(my favourite artist)

The car itself is a remodel of the original version which was first presented 50 years ago, and is Fiat's go at re-releasing a retro classic, as VW (Beetle) and BMW (Mini) have arguably both done quite successfully in recent years.

The 500 was recently named the 2008 Car of the Year and has been praised in numerous auto publications.

Jackie Chan's Cafe opening

I went to Jackie Chan's cafe launch this afternoon at Starhill Gallery. Saw him in front of me making coffee for Datuk Francis Yeoh. A lot of media are invited and many photographers flashing their camera to take his pictures.
