A crossroad

A crossroad is a holy place. There, the pilgrim has to make a decision. That is why the gods usually sleep and eat at crossroads. Where roads cross, two great forces are concentrated-the path that will be chosen and the path to be ignored. Both are transformed into a single path, but only for a short period of time. The pilgrim may rest, sleep a bit and even consult with the gods that inhabit the crossroad. But no one can remain there forever: once his choice is made, he has to move on, without thinking about the path he has rejected. Otherwise, the crossroad becomes a curse.

It is not what provides us with certitudes. It is not what makes us better than others. It is not what we keep within the prison of our preconceived ideas. The Truth is what makes us free. "Know the Truth, and the truth will make thee free"

********
If you are alive, you have to shake your arms, jump around, make noise, laugh and talk to people. Because life is exactly the opposite of death. To die is to remain forever in the same position. If you are too quiet, you are not living!

Experience Vivid Sydney on Singapore Airlines' A380

Tourism NSW and Singapore Airlines ran on a joint promo contest and it is running now til 23 May 2010. Second phase will be following the winner's blog on their experience.

Last year I did the first season with a simple and clean look microsite. Reviewed last year as a learning, I have enhanced this year contest microsite to look more interactive, engaging, vibrant by using flash and colors that meet clients' expectation. For some background, Vivid Sydney is the largest annual festival of light, music and ideas in Australia featuring the spectacular illumination of the Sydney Opera House sails plus a vibrant line up of music, theatre and visual art performance, light displays and creative forums.

Singapore Airlines' A380 offers passengers unforgettable cabin experience, wider seats, spacious legroom, exciting KrisWorld inflight entertainment, and award winning cabin service!

Do you want this exciting holiday all paid for?
Prizes of 2 return tickets to Vivid Sydney on Singapore Airlines' A380, 3 nights accommodation and a sleek 14.1 megapixel Canon IXUS 210 to be won!

Be the extraordinary passenger!

I am currently working on this campaign which has taken enormous amount of time to coordinate and get it done. It has been launched this morning and I think it's pretty interesting idea to run after the best job in the world campaign in late 2007.

The campaign is targeting at 2 markets which is Singapore and Malaysia. Basically we're looking for a passenger with his/her companion to embark on an extraordinary taxi ride on a record-breaking journey of a lifetime in Western Australia! The journey worth $20,000/ RM45,000!

For playing your part, you will achieve fame, fun, and maybe - a fan club without paying a cent!

You and your companion will be personally driven by Western Australia’s most talented taxi driver around Western Australia, travelling through some extraordinary places, taking in some of the most extraordinary sights and experiences on earth!

We are looking for someone who is able to tell a good story, share a joke, and not be shy about playing up for the camera as you could end up on TV.
If you think you have what it takes to be part of this historic journey, nominate yourself for this extraordinary taxi ride!

Closing date: 5 March 2010

An interesting documentary of our planet - the Earth

Today we are seeing the climate change around the globe. It's worth watching this documentary and giving us some thoughts and concerns about the planet we're living on.

Global Warming refers to surface temperature increases.

Climate Change refers to global warming and everything else that increasing greenhouse gas amounts will affect.

The Earth's climate is driven by a continuous flow of energy from the sun. Heat energy from the sun passes through the Earth's atmosphere and warms the Earth's surface.

These gases, which are all naturally occurring, act as a blanket, trapping in the heat and preventing it from being reflected too far from the Earth. They keep the Earth's average temperature at about 15°C: warm enough to sustain life for humans, plants and animals. Without these gases, the average temperature would be about -18°C... too cold for most life forms. This natural warming effect is also sometimes called the greenhouse effect.

The cause of climate change is the unlimited burning of fossil fuels – coal, oil and natural gas to satisfy our hunger for energy.

Climate change affects people and nature in countless ways, the impacts are large and complex and it often increases existing threats that have already put pressure on the environment and change on different areas, species, and people around the world: Coral bleaching, Polar regions, Glaciers, Extreme weather (Heatwaves, Droughts, Floods, Tropical cyclones/Hurricanes), species threatened, people at risk...

A very beautiful song

I love this song. The line is so powerful and breathtaking. The delivery is fantastic, the voice, the guitar, the strings, its immense. I feel like it's stripping all the dramatics away from love and distilling it into it's most essential elements until one is powerless but to just drink in the object of affection..
It is being addicted and completely infatuated with someone, but not knowing how to let go. Being in a trance of fascination, being pulled in and wanting to get out, but not knowing how. It's about not having control over the situation, but wanting to gain control so badly because it's taking over and you're sick of being so infatuated because it hurts too much... this song is so beautiful...

And so it is
Just like you said it would be
Life goes easy on me
Most of the time
And so it is
The shorter story
No love, no glory
No hero in her sky

I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes...

And so it is
Just like you said it should be
We'll both forget the breeze
Most of the time
And so it is
The colder water
The blower's daughter
The pupil in denial

I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes...

Did I say that I loathe you?
Did I say that I want to
Leave it all behind?

I can't take my mind off of you
I can't take my mind off you
I can't take my mind off of you
I can't take my mind off you
I can't take my mind off you
I can't take my mind...
My mind...my mind...
'Til I find somebody new
More Info:-

O is the name of Damien Rice's first album, adorned with unexpected musical twists, pleasures and textures, particularly Lisa Hannigan's fragile vocal accompaniment and Vyvienne Long's sonorous cello. Released in the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom on 1st February 2002, it has since gone platinum in the Republic of Ireland. Rice wanted to make the album without the backing of a major record label, believing if he signed such a deal it would compromise his future work, forcing him to move in directions he did not wish to. The first single from O was "The Blower's Daughter" which was released in September 2001, before the album itself was completed, entered the top 20 in the Irish charts. The album is dedicated to Rice's friend Mic Christopher and according to Damien Rice, there is no special meaning in the name of the album. Reportedly, the name came to him during a bicycle incident and he enjoyed it. In 2003, the track "Cold Water" was featured in the movie 'I Am David'. In December 2004, "The Blower's Daughter" was re-released in the charts on the movie 'Closer' soundtrack.

Royal Carribbean Dreamship

Royal Caribbean International is running a campaign across Asia and proudly running on AsiaOne Network targeted site - homepage and Relax for a period of 4 weeks.

Users can build their Dreamship and have everything they wish for on a ship and stand a chance to win a cruise on Royal Caribbean. A "Dreamship Builder" website has created as part of its ongoing 'Nation of Why Not' brand campaign to build brand awareness and create interest in its renowned innovative ships.

Ever wonder what other cruise operator who still strongly believe in traditional media would do to encounter the challenge as online ad is promisingly growing.
